FDS Wins Construction News Specialists Award

Leading fire safety system design and installation company FDS (Fire Design Solutions), has taken home the winner’s trophy for the Fire Protection category of the 2012 Specialists Awards.

The Specialists Awards run by Construction News honour the finest specialist contractors and construction projects today. The winners were announced at a ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel on Tuesday 22nd March where nearly 600 of the country’s leading specialist contractors gathered to celebrate the achievements of another tough year in construction.

Samantha Riley, Director of FDS, commented: “It is an honour to be acknowledged by something this prestigious. We constantly strive and work hard to raise the game in fire protection so recognition is greatly appreciated by all of us at FDS.”

Comedian Simon Evans warmed up the audience with a stand-up routine and hosted the awards ceremony with the sponsors and supporters.

CRASH, the construction and property industry’s charity for homeless people provided the after-dinner fundraising casino which kept guests entertained into the early hours.
