Elektron

Elektron is a residential development situated on the north side of the River Thames directly opposite the Millennium Dome. The design includes three spectacular towers - one 25 storey building and two 22 storey buildings providing 437 apartments and will form part of the massive regeneration in the area initiated by the forthcoming 2012 Olympic Games.

Fire Design Solutions was responsible for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the fan assisted smoke venting systems utilising a vertical shaft on the development and AOV smoke detection system. Applying computational fluid dynamic modeling of the fire fighting space enabled us to obtain approval by the approving authority and fire service for the concept.
