Fire Design Solutions are experts in the design, build and installation of both commercial and residential Car Park Ventilation Systems having acted as specialist smoke venting contractors for some of the UK's largest projects in recent years. This has involved the implementation of thrust car park ventilation systems making use of impulse and induction fan units where necessary.

Our approach to car park ventilation is to look to provide the most cost effective solution depending upon the type of car park, the layout of the car park and any additional fire legislation that may be in force over and above the basic code standards. Environmental Ventilation

Using CO monitoring and a stepped control algorithm, Fire Design Solutions ensures there is sufficient air extract to remove day to day pollutants properly, while maintaining maximum energy efficiency. Fire Design Solutions systems also comprise of a number of features to minimise noise wherever possible, whilst still keeping life safety a number one priority.

Fire and Smoke Safety

Smoke is a real threat to life in an enclosed space such as an underground car park and also causes significant issues to fire fighters looking to deal with the fire. Fire Design Solutions smoke purging or extract systems are designed to rapidly remove smoke during and after a fire. In addition through the use of value engineering our systems typically achieve increased energy efficiency, space saving and cost benefits for our clients.

Our full smoke control systems aid safe escape and fire fighting access, providing a smoke free approach to within at least 10m of the seat of the fire - as recognised by the relevant British Standard (BS 7346-7:2006) relating to covered car parks for an enhanced fire fighting system. These systems are used to omit sprinklers from car parks to overcome fire fighitng access issues and whilst increase the cost of a standard smoke clearance system show significant overall cost savings on the project.
